Casio now announces the Exilim EX-G1, the digital camera has a two-layer body with steel and polycarbonate. This makes the EX-G1 waterproof, dustproof and shock-resistant. According to Casio the camera survives from a 2 meter fall and can even be under 3 meter deep water for an hour withou taking damage! Since the camera is waterproof it can even be taken for a swim that lets you capture pictures under water.
So, what comes when buying this tough digital camera? The Exilim EX-G1 is approx 2 cm thick and has a 3 times optical zoom that does not extend. The LCD display is protected by a acrylic plate and is 2.5″. When it comes to the specifications EX-G1 captures pictures with 12 megapixels and can record videos in 30fps AVI at 848×480.
When it comes to pricing, Casio says that an estimated price will land around $300, can be expected to hit the shelves in December this year and comes in red and/or black.
