Tesla Motors Model S

Tesla Model S is finally official! Even though the Model S is in another category of cars than the Tesla Roadster it can still do 0-60 mph, has a top speed of 120 mph and seats up to 7 people.

The batteries will fully charge in 4 hours from a 220V outlet, but there is also a quick charge option that charges the battery in just 45 minutes. There is still no information about how much effect the battery gets in the quick charge mode. One of the new features is that the batteries are swappables in just 5 minutes!  Unfortunatley there is still no inormation about how much an extra battery will cost. Anyhow, this gives you the option to travel far longer than with just one battery/charge.

Did we mention that the Tesla Model S also features a 17″ touchscreen that controls climat, the entertainment system and navigation? Unfortunately the Tesla Model S will not be released to the market until Q3 of 2011 but the price is set to $49,900. We like!
