Toshiba presents the household robot ApriAttenda

ApriAttenda

The electronics company Toshiba introduces the prototype housekeeping robot ApriAttenda. The robot is able to open doors of a refrigerator and picks up a box during a demonstration of its ability at the company’s laboratory in Kasawaki, Kanagawa prefecture, suburban Tokyo on March 11, 2009. The robot has wired controlled hands with three fingers on its arm and small CCD cameras in its hands. The 1 meter tall robot can become 0.3 meter taller to work at high place.
